Dash nominated at Pinders Healthcare Design Awards

Stockport based architecture practice; Dash Architecture have had one of their most recent projects - Bruce Lodge - nominated at the prestigious Pinders Health Care Design Awards 2022 in the category of 'Best Regeneration Project'.

The awards are renowned for helping to shape the huge improvement in care facilities since they were launched in 1991.

Owned and operated by Borough Care, Bruce Lodge is the building that has received this nomination. It is a brickwork and pitched tiled roof constructed 47 Bed residential dementia care home. For this transformation, DASH Architecture re-modelled aspects of the existing building and designed an extension which aims to compensate for impairments with old age, maximise independence, reinforce personal identity and enhance self-esteem and confidence.

Nigel Crompton, Principal Architect at DASH Architecture says, “We were extremely passionate about this project, after all - what is good design for people with dementia is good design for everyone. Our design for Bruce Lodge is striking, which is in contrast to many care homes which are often designed in a more traditional style. As a new generation of people move into facilities like this, we believe the buildings should reflect the design that they aspire to and enjoy.”

The Pinders Health Care Design Awards 2022 will be held on Wednesday 16th March at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, London. Here, DASH Architecture will find out if they have been selected as the winners
