Choosing an Accessible Venue - Our Accessibility Promise
An important factor when choosing a venue is finding a space that is accessible for everyone who may wish to attend.
Here at Venue at Cornerstone, we strive to achieve equality and inclusivity for all guests. We pride ourselves on being a completely accessible venue and believe no individual should have a different experience when visiting due to their individual characteristics.
Parking
We have two disabled parking bays available on our rear car park. These can be reserved for an event. The car park is surface level with flat access to our rear entrance leading directly into the venue space.
Lift Access
Our reception has a ground-floor entrance, with the venue space being a couple of steps up on the mezzanine. If an attendee is unable to access the venue via the stairs, there is a lift to take guests directly to our Conference rooms.
For guests who wish not to use the lift, we have alternative ramp access to the rear of the building.
Accessible Facilities
On the same level as our Conference Rooms, we have an accessible toilet within close proximity to the event space. Before your meeting begins, a member of the Venue at Cornerstone team will complete a quick housekeeping guide with your attendees, advising on the location of these and where to go in the event of a fire alarm.
Hearing Loops
For guests who are hard of hearing, all our rooms are fitted with a Hearing Loop. Guests with hearing aids will be able to connect to the hearing loop easily and our teams can assist where necessary.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are more than welcome into our venue space and our team will provide water for the dog throughout the duration of the meeting.
Adaptable Meeting Rooms
Our space is completely adaptable and suitable for all meeting and event types. With prior knowledge of a guest with additional access requirements attending, we can be sure the room is set up to accommodate.
Don't just take our word for it!
To ensure we are delivering on our word, we often work with clients to gather feedback, and to make changes where necessary.

I use Venue at Cornerstone Conference Rooms for many different purposes. In addition to being a member of the Transport and Access Forum, I am also a member of the Stockport Homes Appeals Panel, the Stockport Homes Customer Monitoring Group and the Stockport Homes Scrutiny Panel. I am totally blind, so do not have problems with steps, but I know there are none at the entrance, so people with other disabilities should find it easy to get in and out. Whenever I visit Venue at Cornerstone I find the rooms comfortable, and the staff are friendly and helpful. I can also say the same for the cafe and reception area. It is a pleasure to visit these premises.
