Venue at Cornerstone receives Global recognition for its outstanding performance
- Venue at Cornerstone is a not-for-profit meeting and events space in the heart of Stockport with social value at the heart of everything it offers.
- Accomplished their best year yet despite covid restrictions and closures - achieving £10,000 (a 71%) increase in revenue than previously generated pre-covid.
- The venue space has won Gold in the Globee Awards for “Star of the Year in Hospitality, Travel, Recreation, and Leisure”
On the 6th of October 2022, Venue at Cornerstone took home Gold in the Globee Awards for “Star of the Year in Hospitality, Travel, Recreation, and Leisure”. Now in its 12th year, the Globee Business Awards recognise accomplishments and contributions of companies and business executives and professionals worldwide.
Venue at Cornerstone may not be the largest venue, however its performance over the past 12 months and its contribution to social value is a testament to the hard-working Sales & Marketing Team. The Team is a credit to Venue at Cornerstone as well as the Stockport community who they also help by thriving to exceed their ambitious sales target so any profit can be regenerated within the local community served by the Stockport Homes Group (SHG).
The Venues Team is also up for Hospitality team of the year at the Manchester Young Talent Awards which recognises and celebrates outstanding individuals and organizations within Greater Manchester across multiple industries.
The award demonstrates the hard work the Venues at Cornerstone Team put in to ensure the meeting and events space are a success. Their outstanding performance and dedication to the Stockport community is a credit to the Team and Stockport Homes, who’s local communities will see the money being reinvested into providing essential services and improving their neighbourhoods.
