Thank you to Steve Partridge as he concludes his term as Chair
After nine years of dedicated service to Stockport Homes Group (SHG), Chair Steve Partridge will step down from the Board at the end of September.
Since joining the Board in 2017, Steve Partridge has played a pivotal role in helping shape SHG through a period of significant change and challenge for the housing sector. During his time with the organisation, he served on the SHG Board, chaired the Audit and Risk Committee, and most recently led the organisation as Chair of the Board.
A highly respected national expert in housing finance, Steve shared with SHG more than 25 years' experience across the public and private sectors as a specialist in business planning, finance, development and the delivery of social and affordable housing.
Throughout his time with SHG, Steve has provided strategic leadership, expert guidance and unwavering commitment to ensuring the organisation continues to deliver high-quality services and homes for customers. His tenure has seen the organisation navigate changing regulatory requirements, continue investing in homes and communities, and strengthen its partnership approach with Stockport Council. SHG's strong collaborative relationship with the Council remains fundamental to delivering positive outcomes for customers and communities across the Borough.
A new Chair of the Board will be announced at the SHG Annual General Meeting on 28 September.
It’s been a privilege to serve on the board of Stockport Homes over the last 9 years, latterly as chair. SHG is a fantastic organisation, high performing with a fabulous and inclusive culture. In my time as chair in the last 2 years, we’ve been able to oversee the recruitment of a new Chief Executive, the first consumer standards inspection by the Regulator with a C1 result and develop a positive relationship with senior leaders at Stockport Council. Thanks to all those that have made my time so positive, and the very best of luck to Carmel and the new Chair in taking Stockport Homes forward.
